Originally from Louisville, KY., David Taustine is an accomplished pianist, accompanist, and teacher of voice and piano. He has worked with some of the finest vocal pianist teachers such as Margo Garrett of Juilliard, Graham Johnson of London as well with Martin Katz; all at the venerable SongFest summer program in Los Angeles with a partial scholarship. He also studied with Anton Nel at the Aspen Music Festival. Upon completion of his Bachelors degree at the University of Louisville (Bachelor of Music in Piano performance with Masters work in collaborative piano to work with singers), he was accepted to the University of Michigan on a full ride plus stipend studying with Martin Katz. In the middle of his degree, he realized his true calling and passion is working with middle and high school musicians preparing them for college or a career in music and theater. For many reasons David is proud and excited to be part of the BARCLAY Team and continue to use his skills and passion in music to enrich the lives of students of all ages.
