BARCLAY Performing Arts brings you Stephen Sonheim’s A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. Winner of four Tony Awards, and best known for famed song “Send in the Clowns,” Sondheim brings you a musical work that has forever entranced the world of theatre. Performed with a live, 4 piece string set supporting professionally trained, mature vocals, this production of NIGHT MUSIC brings nuance and intimacy to an already elegant and sophisticated piece.

 

Set in 1900 Sweden, A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of affairs centered around actress, Desirée Armfeldt, and the men who love her. Both men – as well as their jealous wives – agree to join Desirée and her family for a weekend in the country at Desirée’s mother’s estate. With everyone in one place, infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring endless surprises.

Ragtime The Musical

The Advanced Students & Professionals of BARCLAY Performing Arts bring you the epic American musical, RAGTIME.

 

Set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York, three distinctly American tales are woven together – that of a stifled upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant, and a daring young Harlem musician – united by their courage, compassion and belief in the promise of the future. Together, they confront history’s timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair… and what it means to live in America.

 

Ragtime is the winner of the 1998 Tony Awards for Best Score, Book, and Orchestrations. Called by TIME Magazine “A triumph for the stage,” this acclaimed musical is filled with pageantry, emotion, and hope. A truly unique and powerful portrait of America, Ragtime is sure to inspire actors and audiences alike!

Winnie The Pooh Kids

MEET WINNIE THE POOH! Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where BARCLAY Performing Arts Youngest Stars (Ages 4-11!) bring beloved characters Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, and of course Winnie the Pooh & Christopher Robin to life! With classic lessons of friendship and teamwork, WINNIE THE POOH KIDS is full of everything sweet, and is told by the sweetest cast of 40 budding talents you could ever hope to see!

 

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS is based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film. Featuring favorite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun.

 

Did we mention Winnie the Pooh himself will be there to sign autographs? This is the perfect family outing for young kids and the young at heart!

Freaky Friday The Musical

The BARCLAY Performing Arts Tweens & Teens bring this Disney film to life! When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.

 

A high energy romp packed with dancing and passionate vocals, FREAKY FRIDAY makes for a the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a relevant piece of theatre that will entertain the whole way through!
