Christine, originally from Boston Massachusetts, received her BA in Theatre with a double concentration in Performance and Direction from Muhlenberg College. After graduation, Christine moved to New York City and worked as a Director/Choreographer for Tada! Youth Theatre and the Lucy Moses School at the Kaufman Center. She was the Executive Assistant to Marc Tuminelli, founder of The Broadway Workshop (nominated Best Theatre Program in NYC) and was a resident member of the theatre faculty for the Rodeph Sholom School in Manhattan. Christine performed, directed, and choreographed for multiple theaters and schools throughout the city including The Kew Forest School and The Looking Glass Theatre, where her directorial work was lauded by the New York Times as one of the company’s production “highlights”.
In 2012, Christine moved to Florida where she wore many hats at the nationally acclaimed and award-winning StarStruck Academy & Theatre. Her favorite performance credits include CAN CAN (Pistache), and BYE BYE BIRDIE (Kim Macafee). In addition to acting she has director, choreographed, stage-managed and performed in countless productions throughout New York City, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, and Pennsylvania. She currently has students on Broadway, National & International Tours, attending BAK Middle School, Dreyfoos High School, and almost every top tier performing arts university & college in the country.
Christine founded BARCLAY Performing Arts in January of 2016 and dedicates her company to the memory of her late and amazing Director Dad who always found a way to bring out the very best in each and every person, whether on the stage or behind the scenes.
Om is the Acting Teacher & Coach for BARCLAY Performing Arts. He is a Guyanese-American performer that has appeared in productions all across South Florida. Born in New York, he moved to Florida with the mission to “provide an escape for those who cannot free themselves” through his Art. He has a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University with a Fitzmaurice Concentration in Voice. You might recognize him from FAU’s THE RIVALS or MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, Microtheatre Miami’s THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DAY ON EARTH, JCC Boca’s A SHAYNA MAIDEL (Duvid) or Aaron Kula’s MY FAIR LADY: IN CONCERT (Colonel Pickering). He has extensive training in Meisner, Stanislavski and Chekhov (Leonard Petite) techniques along with training in Movement, Stage Combat (Leonard Soroko), and Voice (Fitzmaurice, Linklater).
Om has performed in numerous BARCLAY productions, including HAIR (Berger), ASSASSINS (Lee Harvey Oswald), and RAGTIME (Booker T. Washington). As our Resident Acting Coach, Jae has assisted with a number of BARCLAY productions and was honored to direct BARCLAY’s production of TAP DANCING THROUGH AUSCHWITZ. He thanks Christine for the opportunity to do what he loves, allowing him to bring a little light into a world that needs it now more than ever.
Jason was born and raised in Miami, FL. Jason graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors degree in Theatre. He is trained in multiple aspects of theatre ranging from set construction all the way to acting and directing. Jason has found success in the South Florida theatre scene performing in shows and films as far north as West Palm and as far south as Miami. Some favorite performances include VENUS and THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS IS CARIOT (Simon), along with TAP DANCING THROUGH AUSCHWITZ (Jared), ASSASSINS (The Balladeer), JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Peter), ROCKY HORROR (Rocky) and HAIR (Woof) at BARCLAY Performing Arts. Jason has two independent films under his belt: THE EVENING SHIFT, which can be found on Youtube, and THE DEATH PLEDGE. Jason has been assisting Christine since the end of 2017. Jason was an assistant director for NOISES OFF and SPRING AWAKENING and a production assistant for SEUSSICAL KIDS, LEGALLY BLONDE, SPRING AWAKENING, PIPPIN, and MARY POPPINS. Jason adds his knowledge, love, and passion for film and theatre with the entire BARCLAY family, and all the newcomers who decide to walk through the studio doors.
Tyler received a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Telecommunications from the University of Florida. While at UF, Tyler performed in a variety of productions including MELANCHOLY PLAY (Frank), CHATROOM (Jack), and THE DIVINE: A PLAY FOR SARAH BERNHARDT (Leo). During his summers, Tyler interned for various facets within the Hollywood and Broadway industry. Past internships include O&M co. (FUN HOME, KINKY BOOTS, BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL), Sing Out Louise, prods. (ALLEGIANCE THE MUSICAL), Allison Shearmur Prods. (CINDERELLA, STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE, HUNGER GAMES), and an internship working under the VP of On-Camera Commercials at New York based talent agency, Abrams Artist Agency.
Following graduation from UF in December 2017, Tyler tagged along as one of BARCLAY’s Company Managers. BARCLAY Credits include SPRING AWAKENING (Asst. Director), LEGALLY BLONDE JR. (Carlos), THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (Asst. Director/Aldolfo), ASSASSINS, TAP DANCING THROUGH AUSCHWITZ (Producer/Playwright). Tyler has been involved in more than 11 BARCLAY productions and has taught a variety of classes and workshops. He currently assists with the all of the studio’s marketing and outreach efforts, along with BARCLAY’s social media handles. It brings him great joy to help students “find their voice” and “sing their song”! #teamBARCLAY
Rocco is thrilled to be a part of #teamBARCLAY as an Assistant Company Manager! Rocco has worked in children’s theatre for the past two years. He has done everything from working tech to music directing productions such as THE WIZARD OF OZ, MULAN JR., and CINDERELLA. Since joining the BARCLAY family, Rocco has performed in variety of BARCLAY productions. Past BARCLAY credits include JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Kaiaphas), ASSASSINS (Leon Czolgosz), TAP DANCING THROUGH AUSCHWITZ (Jason), and PIPPIN (Charlamagne). This season Rocco will be performing in our Professional Production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and our Semi-Professional Production of RAGTIME (Younger Brother), along with production assisting our Teens/Tweens Series’ FREAKY FRIDAY and our Kids Series’ WINNIE THE POOH KIDS. Throughout the week, you can find Rocco around the office assisting with day-to-day operations. Rocco is privileged and honored to be working with such an amazing company alongside such wonderful people!
Ed has been the Music Director for BARCLAY since it’s first show in 2016! Over the past 40 years he has been a music director, organist, pianist, freelance keyboardist, accompanist, arranger and choral director. He has worked on shows including The Wizard of Oz, Hello Dolly, Mame, Annie, The Sound of Music, Oliver, Mass by Leonard Bernstein, The Music Man, Little Shop of Horrors, and Beauty and The Beast. He also regularly serves as an accompanist/coach for numerous professional, amateur, and student vocalists and instrumentalists in the South Florida area.
Hannah started to study music & vocal training at a young age in San Antonio, Texas and participated in vocal competitions, concerts and musicals. In 2010 she began studying Vocal Performance at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While in Pittsburgh she performed in productions like Into The Woods and Albert Herring. During the summer of 2013 she was an assistant teacher for the Magic Theatre summer arts camp. That experience sparked her love for teaching children.
In 2014, she received her BFA from CMU and moved to South Florida to start her career. She has performed in such shows as The Sound of Music (Maria) with Broadway Bound and Grease (Sandy) with Chicken Coop Theatre. Hannah has also been featured in a number of semi-professional shows here at BARCLAY. Some favorites include; Rocky Horror Picture Show (Janet), Hair (Sheila), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene).
Hannah currently works with Party Princess Productions performing as a princess for children’s birthday parties and events. She also teaches musical theatre through KinderTime. She is thrilled to bring her love of music to the BARCLAY Performing Arts studio so she can share it with children and nurture and inspire an open mind and a full heart.
Martyna Reczka is a Polish-American Actress as well as an Educator in Music. She started playing piano at the age of 7 and fell in love with it ever since. She has played multiple recitals at the American-Polish Club in Lake Worth and recently performed in A PARK IN OUR HOUSE (Ofelina) and the Pulitzer Prize winning musical NEXT TO NORMAL (Doctor Fine) at Florida Atlantic University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Concentration in Musical Theatre. Martyna’s BARCLAY debut was with our Semi-professional production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR! Since joining the company, Martyna has assisted with a number of BARCLAY productions.
Being a well rounded artist, Martyna makes sure her teaching methods are not only engaging and knowledge filled, but also fun! Martyna loves kids and music and is beyond grateful for the opportunity to put her two passions together. Teaching at BARCLAY has been nothing but joy and love for her since she began working at the studio in 2017!
Sydney is overjoyed to be a Dance Instructor here at BARCLAY! She has been dance training for the past 12 years and theatrically performing for 7 years. She is trained in various forms of dance, such as Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. A long time BARCLAY company member, Sydney is ecstatic to be teaching both BROADWAY DANCE I & BROADWAY DANCE II classes, along with choreographing RAGTIME, FREAKY FRIDAY, & WINNIE THE POOH KIDS. Favorite BARCLAY credits include PIPPIN (Leading Player), THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (Kitty), ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (Columbia), HAIR (Jeannie), SPRING AWAKENING (Martha), and ONCE ON THIS ISLAND (Asaka/Choreographer).
Jennifer is thrilled to join BARCLAY Healing Arts as its Resident Yoga Instructor! You can find Jenn teaching yoga on Mindful Mondays with our variety of yoga classes: Mommy & Me Yoga, Kids Imagination Yoga & Meditation, and Yoga for All Ages & Levels. Jenn is a passionate Yogi & Holistic Doula. She is certified from Anuttara in Raja, Advanced Vinyasa and Specializes In Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga. She fulfills her purpose through supporting & empowering others.
About 7 years ago when she discovered Yoga as a way of uniting the mind, body and soul, it profoundly shifted her life. She now in return has decided to dedicate her life to inspiring others to live an authentic lifestyle focused on gratitude. It goes beyond just the physical practice and is her grounding source of connection to her true higher self. Through this connection she learned how to manifest a life full of joy and inspires others to live a healthy, happy and balanced lifestyle. Her creative yoga flows are a reflection of this. She will challenge you to deeply explore your true self on and off the mat.
Chris Evans is a New Yorker who went to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he received a BA in Scenic Design. He has spent over 20 years working in television, film and theatre. His work includes Dawson’s Creek, Elmo in Grouchland and promos for HBO, as well as running his own theatre company, and designing and building sets for more than 100 plays including Singin’ in the Rain, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Little Shop of Horrors, 9 to 5, Grease, Shrek, Legally Blonde, The Drowsy Chaperone and Aladdin Jr. He now works as the full time Scene Shop Manager at Florida Atlantic University.
