Micah Stinson first fell in love with theater in high school, where he found his people and officially became a “theatre kid”. Micah is originally from Houston, Texas, where he spent 3 years working at Main Street Youth Theater. While acting professionally, Micah first found long-form improvisation and immediately fell in love. He also has experience with short-form improv. In Houston he was trained through Massive Improv and went through the 5-level conservatory at Station Theater. For a time he was Co-Artistic Director of Rogue Improv where he spent roughly ten years doing weekly performances.
Since moving to Florida he has training with many fantastic teachers and groups like Bob Carter’s Actor’s Rep and Intelligent Fools Improv. He has recently expanded into stand-up comedy and has a long history of teaching and coaching improv in Texas and Florida.
Micah’s take on improv, and where the passion comes in, is from the depth and vulnerability of the improvisor/actor. His favorite thing on the planet is to see people fall in love with it. He’s looking forward to sharing this gift with the BARCLAY Community.
